5  - 6 October 2017
EUROCONTROL, Brussels, Belgium

Update (14 SEP 2017): The draft Agenda is now available, you can download it from the link at the bottom of this page!

At the heart of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) priorities for the coming years, the development and implementation of performance-based navigation (PBN), continuous descent operations (CDO), continuous climb operations (CCO) and air traffic flow management (ATFM), is information. Information enables each and every actor to participate in the processes required to operationally execute PBN, CDO, CCO and ATFM. But information is not only at the heart of these specific ICAO priorities. Information is the ‘fuel’ for almost all identified operational improvements in the ICAO Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP).

Following the Workshop on ‘Service improvement through integration of AIM, MET and ATM Information Services’, organised by the ICAO APAC/EUR/MID Regional Offices together with EUROCONTROL on October 2-4, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and EUROCONTROL will host in Brussels, on October 5-6, the 2017 Air Transportation Information Exchange Conference (ATIEC 2017).

The ATIEC 2017 theme will be ‘Information Exchange Specifications supporting the ICAO Global Air Navigation Plan ’.  Addressing specifically the technical implementers of SWIM, the ATIEC 2017 will consider, in more technical detail than the ICAO Workshop, the various Specifications available or under development to support SWIM.

Technical discussions on the current versions and planned developments AIXM, FIXM, (I)WXXM, and the proposed ICAO AIRM are at the core of ATIEC 2017. This includes a general ICAO Workshop summary on day 1 of the ATIEC, ensuring that technical experts not attending the ICAO Workshop are fully informed on the ICAO planning and implementation aspects related to their activities.

Registration is now open and can be completed by filling this form. Further information about the conference can be found on the EUROCONTROL web site.
